Recently, we experienced a truly special moment: Our longest-serving colleague, Ewald, retired after an incredible 47.5 years with the company.
For decades, Ewald worked at the metal shear and the swaging machine – a familiar sight in our production hall.
As one colleague aptly put it: “Ewald was simply there every day, doing the same thing.”
What may sound like routine was, in fact, a testament to reliability, perseverance, and craftsmanship. If you count all the working days since he joined us on January 1st, 1977 – subtracting holidays, sick leave, and vacation – you arrive at roughly 10,000 days of dedicated contribution to our company’s success.
To mark his farewell, Ewald received a gilded rod – a tongue-in-cheek tribute to the estimated 50 million swaged rods he may have processed over the years.
We sincerely thank Ewald for his decades of loyalty, his calm demeanor, and his tireless commitment. As he enters this new chapter of life, we wish him good health, contentment, and many joyful moments.
